I am a lifelong member of this community, and my family has called Dearborn home for over 50 years. I am a proud graduate of Dearborn Public Schools, and today, I am raising my own son in this very district. Born and raised in Dearborn, I understand the unique needs and opportunities within our community. Simply put, Dearborn shaped who I am.

Mohamed Ali Hammoud’s Professional Background

I am a practicing criminal and family attorney with my office based in Dearborn. My legal background has honed my ability to analyze complex issues, advocate for equitable solutions, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.


I also serve as General Counsel for Al Huda Islamic Association, one of Dearborn’s largest mosques. In this role, I have developed strong leadership and governance skills, ensuring organizational accountability and fostering community engagement. Additionally, my fluency in English and Arabic positions me to bridge communication gaps and represent the diverse voices within our district.
